Empty, the concrete prison crumbles.
These photographs are part of a collection of films exposed during the COVID 19 Lockdown. Venturing down into an eerie London town for my daily exercise, it became apparent how much the urban environment requires constant use and at least maintenance so as not to fall rapidly into a state of decay. While most people were at home, those who serviced the lightbulbs in public spaces were still sent out to work. The cleaners were still required at the vast office blocks and the trash was still collected along these empty streets. The empty theatre was still lit up as if invisible actors inside may play to a full house of phantoms in some strange nightmare. Out of the city, in the orchards of Kent… the trees gave less fucks.
