In 2009 I met Andrew Kerr, the man who envisioned the 1971 Glastonbury Fair – the prelude and inspiration for the Glastonbury Festival run by Michael Eavis and now his daughter Emily. I spent 4 years working with Andrew until his death in 2014. In the time that we had together, I was looking to make a documentary film about the spirit of Glastonbury. Andrew, on the other hand, had a different idea that we were to make a film together exploring the ideas that inspired Glastonbury Fair and were still inspiring him as he looked towards his own death.
This project started as one film, and during the process morphed into a very different animal. As I have grown, so my idea of what the story really is and how it should be told has matured. We are now all into the AVID Editing system and ready to go after one more rewrite…
